More Info
Shipping:
- I only ship Monday-Wednesday, year round, from Jacksonville, FL.
- I ONLY SHIP WITHIN THE USA. International orders will be cancelled.
- If your order is placed Wed-Sunday, it will ship the following week.
- Purchases are shipped in the order in which they are received. Large stocking events or promotions may cause a longer than usual turnaround time. I will update the announcement header if there is an unusual delay.
- Sometimes I am able to ship same day or make other arrangements with ample notice and agreement.
- I do live in a state that gets hurricanes and strong storms that sometimes cause widespread power outages or other issues that terminate my ability to ship packages out safely. In these events, I will either ship the package with ample time to leave the area affected, refund if delay will be excessive, or ask if you would like to hold for update on safe shipping time.
- Plants will be packaged based on general weather details.
- If you are experiencing extreme weather conditions such as freezing temperatures, severe weather events, etc. Please use the contact form or order notes to make me aware and request hold or upgrade shipping. I do not guarantee live arrival for temperatures that are below freezing but have not had issues when using temp controlled carriers.
Combining/Adding to your order:
- If you would like to add to your order before it has shipped, simply place a second order and then immediately use the contact form to notify my you want to combine.
- Combining orders may result in a small shipping delay, but usually not.
- Please choose the same shipping speed for both orders.
- Combined order shipping overage charges will be refunded to you based on what it costs me to send it. This is usually always the case with Express, but sometimes Priority double charge will be more than necessary and will also be refunded for the overage. I will take care of it almost always by the time the order ships or a little after so that I have an exact amount for the refund.
- Please contact me using the contact form on the home page ASAP after order is delivered if there are issues receiving shipping overage refunds.
Right of Refusal:
- I reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders at any time for reasons I deem necessary.
LOCALS:
- I am not open to the public.
- The property has extensive security to prevent theft or other issues, but someone is almost always on premises.
- All local pickups must be done within 7 business days of order placement or the order will be cancelled with a 20% restocking fee for loss of sale.
- I do offer meetups for those further away within reason and convenience. Please contact me via FB messenger on the business page to discuss getting your plants at an alternate pickup location and time that is suitable for both of us if you cannot come to me.
CARE OF PLANTS:
- Please research the care needs of the plants before you receive them.
- Plants shipped in the mail need time to acclimate to your environment or recover from minor shipping stress. Dead/yellow leaves happen and its best to remove those right away, the plant will grow new ones. Occasional stem breakages or bends in the leaves will occur, this is also something that will recover quickly.
- I almost always ship in cups of sphagnum moss or established plants in their grow medium and cups/pots. To eliminate further stress, I do not suggest repotting for 14 days after receipt if the plant's roots are healthy. Once it is acclimated, you can switch them to your preferred medium. Growing in mediums such as moss, stratum, and perlite do not require drainage but can be added if you want to leave them growing in the shipping container. Lightly moisten moss, but make sure not to drench or compact it, this will rot a plant quickly and not allow the roots to breathe. My premium moss mix medium should be treated the same. Any excess water pooling in the mixture can simply be drained off. These mediums tend to dry out much faster than aroid mix and soils, especially if not kept in greenhouse conditions.I do not root in water, they will have "soil" comparable roots in the mediums I grow them in.
- If you are struggling or have questions on your new plants from GOM, please send message using the contact form or on FB and I will do my best to offer support for your success.
